Peter Griffin is a very funny guy.  Without him, the show would only be half as funny.  His hilarious sayings, and actions help to carry the show along.  He is father of Meg, Chris and Stewie Griffin.  His wife Louis, puts up with a lot of his crap, but that just adds to the comedy of the show.  He is what makes the show a hit.
